My first blog

Well, with Ella just turned 11 weeks old today (Saturday March 29th) and I have decided to start this blog in hopes of keeping an update for family and friends as she continues to grow like a weed! I know that in the coming months and years there will be so many funny stories and experiences to share that I thought this would be a great way to record it all and share.

So far Ella has been a wonderful baby. She is already eating 6 ounces every four hours and sleeps through the night with the exception of her feedings. Over the last two weeks she has really become aware of her surroundings and really enjoys the color red. She loves to play on her floor mat and make it play music and light up by hitting the dangling objects with her hands. This is a great workout for her throwing arm :P. She has begun to coo/jabber at us and occasionally laugh. She also loves to try to "fake cough" to get mom and dad to jump to pick her up when

At her two month visit a couple weeks ago she weighed 13.7lbs and was 24.25 inches long which was the 97th percentile for both. At this rate she will be taller than my by the time she hits 1 year old!! She still has her cheeks and everyone loves to pinch/jiggle them....especially my coworker Jill and my brother.

A funny story from about a week ago now is when I had her in her lounger chair that bounces with movement while I was in the shower. I heard her laughing and quickly had to get the soap out of my eyes/hair and looked out to find her making the chair bounce by kicking her legs and making herself laugh.

Ella was baptized on March 16th at our church, The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd here in Duluth. Her sponsors are my brother Travis, our very close friends Greg and Liz Young, and my friend/co-worker Jill Tanttari. Our immediate families were there to celebrate with us on this joyous occasion.
